This is reflective of the overall slowing of spec home production in the area. However, over 100 new homes are on the market. Notes on New Construction Homes
In a recent CNNMoney article, it was revealed that housing starts are at a 17-year low. At first glance, this could easily be construed as a sign of worse things to come for the housing market. The truth is that this is a necessary step towards recovery. By reducing inventory (supply), builders are helping to insure that prices on existing homes are maintained.
